台灣新銳編舞家劉冠詳，繼2014年獻給父親的《英雄》獲得熱烈迴響後，再次挑戰生死議題，將母親接受化療時及臨終前的日常對話錄音，在現實和虛幻之間呈現家族記憶，反映母親一路走來的人生經歷。劉冠詳在悲愴的喜劇中起舞，以作品和母親永遠的血脈相連，視作給母親的最後禮物。
Taiwanese choreographer and dancer Liu Kuan Hsiang infused autobiographical elements into KIDS, a tribute to his late mother. Inspired by conversations during his mother's chemotherapy and final days, KIDS touches on family memories, illusion and reality and the mother's impending passing - spoken in Taiwanese dialect - were poignant reflections of her life and place in Taiwanese culture and society. KIDS transforms these highly intimate experiences into calm ritualistic movements with twisted, frantic physical extremes.
