1990年代，三個大學畢業入伍的阿兵哥，不約而同獲得在軍中拍照的難得機會，他們的鏡頭捕捉了當年的部隊生活，出操、偷閒、振奮、迷茫。二十年過去，當時的三個苦悶大頭兵現在已是台灣新聞界身經百戰的資深攝影記者，他們決定將這些私藏照片集結出版，尋回不同於「莒光園地」的大兵影像記憶與一代人的軍旅青春時光。攝影集《阿兵哥3x1》由三位台灣現職新聞攝影師杭大鵬、田裕華、張良一，於90年代在紀錄台灣軍中生活的黑白紀實作品。
In the 1990s, three soldiers, fresh from college, had the rare chance to take photographs in the military. Their lenses captured the every-day life of their fellow soldiers as they went out on drills, took breathers, at times full of vigour and at times lost and wandering. Twenty years later, these three bitter soldiers have since become veteran photojournalists in Taiwan's news industry. They decided to publish their private photos as a compilation in a bid to reminisce about the visual memories of military service and their youthful days in the army.
