本事
傍晚，小路，土坡，兩個流浪漢啼啼（吳興國），哭哭（盛鑑），正在等待果陀，為打發無聊，彼此玩鬧說著無意義的對話。直到，一對古怪的主僕，破梭（馬寶山）、垃圾（林益緣）經過，發生好笑又危險的情節；最後，小信差帶來訊息，說：果陀今天不會來了，明天一定來...... 於是，繼續等待......

世界公認二十世紀最具代表性鉅作，貝克特的《等待果陀》震古鑠今。全劇戲謔、荒謬、簡潔，卻又撼動心靈、富含哲理。當代傳奇劇場以戲曲之說、唱、逗、演、舞的生動表演，令國內外觀眾讚嘆，被譽為--「成功破解了貝克特的密碼」、「是一齣非常完美的演出」。
當代傳奇劇場2005年度作品，改編自諾貝爾文學獎鉅作的『等待果陀』，被譽為『人類至高心靈寫照』。西方作者貝克特荒謬、嘲諷的語言轉化為東方戲曲唱唸做打，載歌載舞。演員在挑戰極限的表演中，開始一場對生命的嬉笑、玩鬧和發人深省的人文關懷。
演員簡介
吳興國
演員、劇作家、導演；當代傳奇劇場藝術總監；乃少數橫跨電影、電視、傳統戲曲、現代劇場以及舞蹈之表演藝術家。國立臺灣藝術大學表演藝術研究所專任教授；曾獲美國傅爾‧布萊特獎學金、亞洲文化協會獎學金。曾榮獲臺灣電影金馬獎最佳男主角提名和香港電影金像獎最佳新演員獎；並連續三度在臺灣京劇大賽榮獲文藝金像獎最佳生角獎。
盛鑑
演員，長年活躍於電影、電視、戲曲、戲劇、舞蹈等領域。曾憑電影「龍門飛甲」入圍香港金像獎、中國金雞獎最佳新演員。
馬寶山
國光劇團資深導演、當代傳奇劇場創始成員。畢業于中國文化大學戲劇系、北藝大劇場藝術研究所導演組。京劇表演功底深厚，九歲進入大宛國劇訓練班學習京劇，專工武生，師承李桐春、劉玉麟。一九九五年獲得美國亞洲文化基金會獎助，
赴美國紐約進行藝術創作暨學術交流計畫。長年致力於戲曲藝術傳承與創新，展露不凡導、演才華。
林益緣
現就讀台灣戲曲學院京劇科，為台灣備受矚目的新生代武丑。曾演習劇目：《三岔口》、《祥梅寺》、《泗洲城》、《二龍山》、《水濂洞》。因優異演出表現獲得傳奇學堂-苗尖子獎學金。
潘守和
國光劇團團員，師承郭鴻田、黃俊琅、張宇喬，熟習《三岔口》、《戰馬超》、《盜甲》、《鬧龍宮》、《弼馬溫》、《時遷偷雞》、《擋馬》等劇，曾赴中國河北向裴豔玲老師習藝，並曾兼任戲曲學院術科老師。

Celebrated opera singer, thespian, dancer and occasional star of the silver screen, Wu Hsing-kuo and his renowned Contemporary Legend Theater (CLT) make a welcome return to the stage when they bring their visually stunning Chinese/Western crossover production of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot . Since its founding in 1985, the CLT has become one of the most influential and respected modern opera troupes in Asia. Its ability to blend standard classical Beijing opera with Western theater has enabled the troupe to breathe new life into numerous productions.
Synopsis
Beckett's play tells of two vagrants -- Estragon and Vladimir -- who are waiting for someone called Godot to arrive. Godot never does arrive, however, but while passing the time waiting for the mysterious character the two bums act out several of the fundamental mysteries of man's existence and in turn beg the question, 'What are we doing here?'
