成立於2011年，自稱台東阿美族的「民謠實驗搖滾樂隊」；漂流出口擅長使用傳統古調元素創作，曲風融合油漬、龐克、重搖滾、民謠。他們現場演出爆發力十足，時常穿著阿美族傳統服飾進行演出，色彩鮮豔的衣服加上重拍音樂，契合出生猛神秘的感官體驗，而演出即興意味濃厚，在默契搭配下玩弄歌曲、穿插古調、變奏，與時常發生「意外的現場互動」。

來自沖繩本島的三線大師平安隆，早年經已將搖滾、雷鬼、非洲藍調、加勒比海等樂風帶進喜納昌吉的Champloose樂團，注入跨越地域、融合時代的嶄新活力，引發日本「沖繩熱」的風潮。個人發展後更是向外發散音樂能量，專輯《雲遊び》是平安隆與台灣在地的出色音樂人的最新成果，包括在台灣發展的日本爵士樂團「東京中央線」、台灣知名色士風手和歌手。專輯獲台灣詩人/音樂人鍾永豐評為「俐落清晰，沒有一絲雜質、一絲多餘。」是次近乎全員班底專程來港演出，不要錯過。

About the programme

This November, West Kowloon Cultural District will launch its first annual Freespace Jazz Fest that brings together a stellar line-up of local and international jazz and world music artists for a full weekend of indoor and outdoor performances. Taiwan Arts Festival proudly presents for the occasion: indigenous Taiwanese experimental rock band Outlet Drift, and a fabulous group of Taiwanese and Japanese musicians led by sanshin master Takashi Hirayasu.

Outlet Drift is a band that blends traditional indigenous Taiwanese tunes with experimental folk, grunge, psychedelic and metal. Clad in traditional Amis indigenous garb, their live shows are an audio-visual experience not to be forgotten. Once lost and under the influence of other cultures, the three indigenous Taiwanese youths from Taitung finally found their identity in their own indigenous culture and through music are hoping to make an emotional impact.

Okinawa sanshin master Takashi Hirayasu has been combining rock, reggae, African blues, and Caribbean music style into his music since the early days as a member of the Okinawan rock band Champloose. The album "Cloud Wandering" is the latest collaboration of Takashi Hirayasu with Japanese jazz band Tokyo Chuo-Line and some of the best Taiwanese musicians. The album was complimented on being "clear and pure". Don't miss this rare occasion to see their live performance in Hong Kong.
