Kamaro'an是台灣原住民阿美族語「住下來吧」的意思，期許青年返鄉住下。延續部落悠久的工藝和文化，將部落工藝師的手工製作結合工業設計，以當代美學視角設計出簡約別緻的日常器物。

About the programme
Inspired by the mountains and oceans, the enchanting designs become a part of Taiwan’s scenic view, taking various shapes and forms. The forest is reimagined as a laboratory dedicated to beauty, serving with respect and humility to discover the meaning of symbiosis with nature that examines a mix of cross-disciplinary creativity between corporations and independent creators from a broad perspective.
Tracing the island’s terrain in the design field, the exhibition explores the birth of emerging brands and aesthetics pursuit. Through multi-sensory immersion, it charts the unified cultural landscape and creative map of modern Taiwanese design and lifestyle. With the endeavour to inspire indigenous resources harness that is irreplaceable, the chosen designs seek to demonstrate an organic creative prowess to be reckoned with.

The name Kamaro'an originates from Pangcah, a Taiwanese indigenous language, meaning the place to live.
Inspired by the authentic craftsmanship and indigenous culture, each of the product is delicately handmade by skilled weavers with traditional techniques through modern aesthetics and minimalist design that celebrates the uniqueness and timelessness in daily life.
